Upcoming Workshops
Social Media 101
Early October, 2010 Exact date TBD, Cambridge, Mass.
$109, lunch provided (with optional follow-up 1-on-1 sessions at a discount $50/hour)
In this four-hour course, we will openly discuss the rise of social media, its benefits, and any questions you may have. We’ll use brief case examples to show how local entrepreneurs and creative folks have used social media to develop their brand and grow their audience. After lunch, we’ll demonstrate how to use the most widely used, effective social media tools.
Throughout the day, there will be time for open discussion, small group work sessions, and 1-on-1 assistance. Think of this course as a cross between a “how-to” course for basic social media tools and a thoughtful introduction to social media strategy.
Online registration for October is coming soon

Social media is everywhere, but it’s still a new and quickly changing field. The benefits of social media are few unless you understand two things: purpose and message (two things that have nothing to do with social media). Social media is only the medium by which you share good content and increase your web presence, if this what you’re looking to do. Match social media with a clear understanding of purpose, effectively communicate that purpose, and take the time to know your audience, and you’ll likely be successful.
